Oscars of 2023 just ended with Everything Everything All at Once winning or being nominated for several categories. Awkwafina or Nora Lum from Queens was offered the role for Joy Wang (Jobu Tupaki) but rejected the offer.

Who is Awkwafina?

Awkwafina, whose real name is Nora Lum, is an American actress, rapper, and comedian. She was born on June 2, 1988, in New York City to Chinese and Korean-American parents.

She gained recognition for her music, including her viral YouTube video “My Vag,” before transitioning to acting.
