Apple iPhone XS Charge Gate : Doesn’t detect lightning charging cable
Apple’s newest iPhone XS line have shipped with a huge flaw that we don’t understand how the QA team could have missed.
Charging is a function that is without discussion, a must have feature on your phone or almost any device lately and should work 100% of the time.
Charge Gate
Many iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max users have reported that they woke up to their iPhone XS not being charge despite being plugged in all night with their Apple OEM lightning cable.
Some iPhone XS / XS Max don’t charge by just plugging in the lightning cable but must be woken up to see the lightning cable.

A few users have even reported that they need to flip the USB lightning cable in another way to start the charge.
Is your iPhone XS defective?
Try the test by putting your iPhone XS or XS Max to sleep. Plug in the Lightning Cable. Do you hear a beep or the Apple’s gentle bing sound to notify a charge has began? If you only hear it once you wake your phone then your iPhone XS is one of the defective ones effected by the chargegate

How to get fix the charging issue on the iPhone XS
We are still waiting for a response from Apple. For now, you can buy a Qi Charger which makes your life easier anyways or keep flipping the USB lightning cable in and waking up your phone before you go to sleep
